Next week, I will be starting a two week long internship at Black Press here in Victoria. I’m really looking forward to the experience, and I know I will be learning a lot in a short time. And who knows, this might even change my ideas for my school portfolio.
Photo documentaries have intrigued me, and I’ve already done two very small ones at school, as part of two separate assignments. For the first one, done last December, I got permission to shoot in the emergency room at Victoria General Hospital for an hour. I followed a nurse around for that hour, and came away with the following photos (well, among others).
